  Robert Moffat was a pioneer Christian missionary to the Bechwana tribe in southern Africa. He lived among them for fifty years. He put their language into written characters and then translated the entire Bible into their language. The Bechwanas were dramatically transformed over : Delmarva Publications, Inc. The hardships endured by Moffat, and his long-suffering wife and family, are described in graphic detail. The engravings illustrating the book are excellent, and add atmosphere to the book.
